Powerful piece. The framing of this as a technical malfunction rather than a predictable outcome of platform incentives is exactly the issue. Platforms optimized for engagement inevitably reward transgression, and when governments legitimize those platforms by continuing to use them, they're essentially signaling that the harm is acceptable colateral damage. A world where he and his associates control us all with AI and pretend to be staunchly in favour of free speech.
