Wonderful summation of the Farage 'fever dream'.

I want to ask him how is going to pay for the costs of abandoning net-zero. Yes, the UK is not the biggest problem, yes other countries need to do a lot more, but if we abandon it and just go for more global warming, how is he proposing to pay for the needed flood defences, damage to our infrastructure, and relocations of entire villages and towns?

Oh, and all that rubbish about deregulating the banks, wow. You do know that the financial crisis of 2008 was allowed by not having the regulations we have now? (Not that we enforce them properly). And that leaving the EU means less regulation of tax avoiders, tax evaders, and money launderers such as, um, you. (To be fair, I'm only accusing Farage of avoidance, but I would not be surprised to find the other two in his accounts. Remind me how many Roubles he's been paid?)

Very well said. Farage is a complete con artist who has been wrong about every single thing he's ever got involved in. And yet people still flock to him it's completely baffling.

He appeals to individuals whose lives are defined not by what they can do to help, but to hate and destroy, others and our communities. As Zoe writes here, his entire political spiel is founded on punching down. British fellow travellers of GOP’s MAGA. Both are run by criminal malignant narcissists.

A delightful skewering of Farage's rhetoric of delusion and barely concealed mendacity. Great read.

So Deform is an "alarm clock" - because we want to smash it and throw it out the window when it goes off? Sounds about right to me.

I really like the description "the People's millionaire" - if we could get that to stick, it might have an impact.

Worse than George Osbourne. A self centered hypocritical version of Trump. His mantra is money, money . money.
