Briliant take on the competence trap Labour's fallen into. The bit about how cautious incrementalism just doesn't cut it when the far-right is moving so aggressively really nails it I think. I've been following UK politics from outside and its wild how Starmer's team seems almost paralzyed by the fear of looking too bold. What's particularly sharp here is recognizing that even falling migration numbers won't undercut Reform if Labour keeps playing defense on theri terms instead of articulating what Britain should actually stand for.
